APPEARANCE

Light-Medium golden color, straw, medium carbonation. Although Kolsch is usually clear, ours is slightly cloudy b/c it's an unfiltered beer.

NOSE

Low hop aroma with faint malt and lemon aroma.

MOUTHFEEL

Carbonation gives a good clean coating, finishes dry.

TASTING NOTES

Solid beer with good base malt characteristics, hints of lemongrass from the hops, med-dry finish with hop pop at the end.

THE INSPIRATION:

The Kölsch ale has been in official existence for over 100 years, but its roots descend even further down than that. However, it has remained in relative obscurity until the last 10 or so years. We discovered this delightful style after focusing on a want of our own: an easy drinking year round style, light in body, and crisp in finish. With that in mind we took centuries of German brewing tradition and added our own personal flair. The result is a very clean, easy drinking beer that fits any mood, and pairs with any meal.
